Energy Matters + Stress Matters for Hormonal Health, Weight Loss and Stable Energy


Your hormonal health is a byproduct of calories consumed and stress levels. Hormonal adaptations are your bodies way of protecting your survival and fertility. Ancestrally, at times of famine, similar to modern day calorie-cutting, your body did not prioritise reproduction as there was not enough food to feed the baby. These hormonal programs still run in our bodies today….even though the stress may simply be an overbearing mother in law!


There are various types of stress I address with clients:

  1. Perceived

  2. Digestive

  3. Inflammatory

  4. Glycemic

  5. Circadian


For our ancestors, the key to survival was managing stress and food supply. When the body feels safe, it will prioritise fat burning and balanced hormones for weight loss. This is why a calorie deficit with low stress can yield good results, but a calorie deficit with high stress won't work - your stress bucket is too full.
